Although funny things have happened to me when inspecting homes, like the time I stuck my hand in a wall to feel where a pipe ran and accidentally started a cascade of bones that scared the hell out of me. I thought I found a human skeleton. Turned out to be big rib bones, it seems one of the occupants was not sharing their ribs so they threw the bones behind a return air register, the pipe held them up until I knocked them loose. Great fun!
What’s funny about home inspections? Not much.
We’re inspecting your home to assess its condition and a failing furnace or rusty plumbing lines are nothing to laugh about.
Get your potential home inspected and always talk to the inspector after he or she is done with the inspection. Some things that look like a big deal are not and some things that appear trivial can be the beginnings of a checkbook hurting event.
Look at the clown up above, those traps can be things you discover on your home inspection before you commit to a purchase.
